2008 Business Opportunity Expo to Showcase North Clark County Business Potential

CLARK COUNTY, WASHINGTON – Jerry Greenfield, co-founder of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream,
will be the keynote speaker at the 2008 Business Opportunity Expo, May 29 at the Clark County
Events Center at the Fairgrounds. Jointly hosted by the cities of Battle Ground, La Center, and
Ridgefield, and the Port of Ridgefield, the all-day Expo will showcase business opportunities in
the north Clark County, Washington, area.

“The Expo is targeted at local companies looking to expand or showcase their businesses,
companies outside the area looking to relocate or expand operations, and anyone interested in
learning more about north Clark County,” says Brent Grening, Port of Ridgefield executive
director. “We also hope to learn what we can do better, to support and recruit businesses, from
the people who attend.”

In addition to Greenfield’s keynote speech, the Expo will feature a bus tour of north Clark
county, highlighting business and development opportunities and industrial lands; afternoon
panel discussions on business issues; vendor booths showcasing local businesses; and a wine
and cheese tasting. Adrienne Moser, chief operating officer of Nau, a Portland-based outdoor
clothing company, will deliver the breakfast-time kick-off address.
Event registration is $150 for a full-day ticket (including breakfast, lunch, and bus tour) and $250
for a vendor booth. Event sponsorships are available at a variety of levels.
The Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds is located at 17402 NE Delfel Road,
Ridgefield, Washington. Time of the event is 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. More information, including
